Well a little about me. I’m John Callaghan a 59 (oct 1 1958) years old single Man, I come from a small family. My father passed away 10 years ago and my mother still lives in Manchester, England. She just turned 84 and still looks very young but battling cancer at the moment. I have a mixed background….I am half Italian and English. It is fair to say i am well traveled and started at a young age. I lived a little of my life in Manchester because my grand mother always wanted me to be with her. She was my best friend, she passed away the same year my father died. She did teach me a lot of things which includes taking good care of my woman. She was so funny and could sing beautifully well, too bad i did not inherit the genes of her good voice or her very dry sense of humor.
I do like it here in the United States after 25 years working as a field operations manager for Shell Oil and being mostly stationed in England. Its different from life in London, Italy, Manchester and recently Texas….. Less busy, less crazy people and no police siren driving you crazy in the middle of the night.
I travel to Los Angeles at least once a month to play golf at the Wilshere golf course with my colleagues or handle some business issues since my return to the country. My job keeps me busy and i made it so because that is the only way i keep myself from being lonely. Well, that isn’t working because i still find an important part of me empty and lonely (my heart) that needs a special woman to fill.
I’m a Geologist by profession and I have done a lot of research on raw materials, both solid and liquid. I worked with Shell for 25 years living in England and decided to go private 5 years ago so as to be able to spend time with my late wife as she battled cancer. I can tell you that Being in the private sector has been a blessing for me. I love my job. It’s an interesting thing to do because you get to discover different things and there’s always something new to learn.
I have a 26 years old Daughter, Her name is Mary and she lives in Canada with her Boyfriend. I still find it hard to believe that she is all grown up. What about you.? What brought you to the website and what’s your story?.
I lost my wife 1 year and 3 months ago to cancer as i already mentioned and I have not dated anyone in this period since she passed, i have remained single since my wife passed onto glory and not found any woman that has touched my heart in a way like you and your smile have in a short time since coming across your profile. I’m not about beauty and i’m not searching for a beauty queen either. What matters to me is the heart of a person and not the outward appearance alone. I believe someday all the good looks and beautiful skin will wash away and all that would be left is the beautiful and sweet memories we have created in our hearts.
During the weekends i take out time to workout and rest. I play tennis and listen to music too. It’s boring because there is no one to share these days with. I don’t read much books but the last i read was Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. You should read it too.
I was brought up a Catholic and I know there is a God, our creator, the one i believe in and worship.
You should know that my heart is open for the right person no matter where in the world she is. Finding you is not a mistake and that instinct captivating me is not a mistake either! God sees our hearts and answers our prayers when we least expect. Sometimes we think His blessings are too good to be true instead of us being thankful.
